Illustration 1. Location of 9T2323 Spacer.Adaptable As: The 9T2323 Spacer, used in 9T2324 Underspeed Actuator Valve Group, is in effect on 973 Loaders 32Z739, 26Z222, 90L640 and 91L165. The 9T2324 Underspeed Actuator Valve Group is a direct replacement for the former 3G7261 Underspeed Actuator Valve Group. The single orifice adapter is in effect on 973 Loaders 32Z730 and 26Z222 and adaptable to all earlier 973 if plunger and shunt line are on the machine or have been added. The new parts for the hydrostatic lines group, that have the single orifice adapter, are shown in the chart.
The location of the 4T2323 Spacer in the 9T2324 Underspeed Actuator Valve Group is shown in Illustration 1. The location of the new parts in the hydrostatic lines group are in Illustration 2.

Operation Instructions
The following operating procedure should be used when precise control is needed on a slope.
Machine should always be positioned on a slope with the transmission control lever. Movement of the lever into the opposite direction for positioning is permitted. For example, when moving a machine forward to go down hill, it is permissible to use reverse with the center pedal pressed to the plunger assembly to control the forward drift of the machine. The lever may then be pulled further into reverse to hold the machine while depressing the center pedal further to lock the brakes.
To Park Machine On Slope
1. Partially depress the brake pedal until additional resistance is felt.2. Position the machine with the transmission control lever.3. Fully depress the brake pedal to apply brakes. After one second, move the transmission control lever to "PARK" and release the brake pedal.To Move Machine From "Park" On Slope
1. Fully depress the brake pedal.2. Pull transmission control lever from "PARK" into uphill direction until audible transmission loading against brakes is noted.3. Slightly raise brake pedal to release brakes.4. Control machine movement with transmission control lever.
