REMANUFACTURED 3412 CYLINDER HEAD FOR MARINE ENGINE APPLICATIONS
Caterpillar announces the following Upgrade to New cylinder head for use in marine engine applications only:

Features and Benefits
? 10R0761 is equipped with nickel intake and exhaust valves, which have higher thermal and corrosion resistant properties. It replaces 0R9379 and 0R9380 cylinder head groups previously used in marine applications. 0R9378 head assembly can be used as a service repair by installing the new nickel intake and exhaust valves.
Note: 0R9379 and 0R9380 will continue to be service for non-marine applications.
? Upgrade to New heads come equipped with new castings, valves, valve guides, seats and other critical wear components.
? All components are processed to tight Cat dimensions and tolerances to insure top performance.
? Reman head groups come fully assembled, ready to install, to provide a cost effective repair alternative.
? Reman cylinder heads have same as new parts warranty. Refer to the appropriate Caterpillar warranty statement.
Core Acceptance
0R9379, 0R9380, 105-3797 are acceptable core for 10R0761. Refer to SELD0018-07 Core Acceptance Criteria for core inspection guidelines.

Also refer to other CMIS 2 inquiry applications such as Customer Profiles, Inspection Reason Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Add Charge Information, Entitlement Activity, Entitlement Inquiry, CCR Inquiry, CCR Entry, Shipment Processing; Process Packaging Grief; and Reporting to properly manage core returns and monitor inspection performance. This information will be available to all dealers worldwide after your CMIS 2 conversion date. In the meantime, please continue to use the current CMIS Entitlement Parts Inquiry Screen describing the list of parts in a Core Acceptability Family (CAF) and related part number detail.
