MSS Flash File Improvements
Electronic Diagnostic Code Generation
The previous version of MSS software did not support the generation of diagnostic (CID/FMI) codes for driver faults. The new 220-6355 Flash File (MSS) provides CID/FMI codes for troubleshooting purposes. These CID/FMI codes are shown in Table 1.

In the previous version of software, every time the key switch was turned from the OFF position to the ON position (when outside of the grace period or bypass time), an "Event 273 - Machine Operation Attempted Using an Invalid Key" was logged. The new software has corrected the logging of Event 273. "Key List Append/Replace" screenWith the new 220-6355 Flash File (MSS) and Cat ET (version 2002), the option of replacing the entire MSS Key List has been added. This option allows the user to either replace the complete key list with a PC file or to append the PC file to an existing key list.Previous versions of MSS software would only append the PC file to the list of keys. Changes to existing keys in the list would not be applied.
