Note: Check the gasket for wear or damage. Use new replacement parts, if necessary.
Position the gasket and oil filter base (1) on the engine. Install bolts (5) and the washers.Note: Bolts 6 are a different length. Install the bolts in the proper position.
Install bolts (6) and the washers.
Install nut (7) and the washer.

Position wire assembly (2) on the oil filter base. Install nut (4) and the washer.
Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean oil. Use Tool (A) to install new oil filter (3) on oil filter base (1). Tighten the oil filter until the seal contacts the oil filter base. The oil filter must be turned an additional 270 degrees. Rotation index marks are spaced at 90 degrees. Use these rotation index marks as a guide for proper tightening.End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
