Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the secondary steering valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Secondary Steering Valve - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove the following items from secondary steering valve (1): plugs (5), O-ring seals (4), springs (3) and valves (2).

Mark the location of switch assemblies (6) and (7) for assembly purposes.
Remove switch assemblies (6) and (7) from secondary steering valve (1).
Remove O-ring seals (8) from the switch assemblies.
If necessary, remove the remaining fittings in order to replace the O-ring seals.
