Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be cleaned thoroughly to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies to prevent fluid loss, and help to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove four bolts (2) .
Disconnect wiring harness (3) at the connector.
Remove pressurizer assembly (1) .

Remove covers (4) and (5) .

Remove ten bolts (6) . Remove cover (7) and the gasket.
Remove guard (8) .
Remove eight bolts (9) . Remove cover (10) and the gasket.

Disconnect the wiring harness from connector (12) . Remove the nut from connector (12) .Note: Before removing transmission hydraulic control valve (13) , ensure sleeves (11) and (14) are in the transmission input cover and clear of transmission hydraulic control valve. Move the wiring harness and connector (12) clear of the transmission housing before removing the transmission hydraulic control valve.
Remove the bolt and the washer holding sleeve (11) and sleeve (14) in position.
Push sleeve (11) and sleeve (14) into the torque converter housing, until the sleeves are clear of the transmission hydraulic control valve.

Install a suitable lifting device to existing 1P-7404 Eyebolt (16) attached to transmission hydraulic control valve (13) . The weight of transmission hydraulic control valve (13) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).Note: The transmission hydraulic control valve is held in to the transmission with four bolts (15) . Bolts (15) are marked with an "X" in the above illustration.
Remove four bolts (15) from transmission hydraulic control valve (13) . Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve from the transmission.
