A 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound 1 Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (10). The weight of turbocharger (10) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).
Install gasket (22) and turbocharger (10).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of four bolts (21).
Install bolts (21) and the four locknuts. Do not tighten the bolts completely at this time.

Loosen the nuts on V-band clamps (23) and (25) to allow cartridge assembly (24) and compressor housing (26) to rotate.

Install tube assembly (19), two bolts (20) and two bolts (18).

Connect hose assemblies (13) and (17).
Connect tube assembly (14).
Install elbow (15) and clamp (16).
Tighten clamp (16).

Tighten two clamps (12).
Tighten four bolts (21) to a torque of 55 9 N m (41 7 lb ft).
Tighten the nuts on V-band clamps (23) and (25) to a torque to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in).
Lightly tap around the diameter of V-band clamps (23) and (25) with a soft hammer.
Tighten the nuts on V-band clamps (23) and (25) to a torque to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in).

Install exhaust joint (11) and clamp (9) to turbocharger (10).
Tighten clamp (9).
Install two metal seal rings (8). Note: Install metal seal rings (8) with the ring end gaps 180 degrees apart.

Install two metal seal rings (7) to elbow (3). Note: Install metal seal rings (7) with the ring end gaps 180 degrees apart.

Install elbow (3).
Install three bolts (6).
Install two retainers (5) and two bolts (4).

Install heat shields (1) and (2).
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change" for the proper filling procedure. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install".
Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
