Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. In order to prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing, adjusting or working on any hydraulic components.
a. Move the machine to a smooth, hard and dry horizontal surface. Move away from working machines and personnel. Lower the blade or attachment to the ground. Stop the machine.b. Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel either away from the machine or in view of the operator.c. Engage the parking brake. Put blocks in front of and behind the wheels.d. Push the brake pedal many times until there is no more brake oil pressure.e. When the blade or attachment is raised for test, adjustments or maintenance, make sure that the blade or attachment has proper support. The lift circuit has high oil pressure when the lift arms raise the front of the machine. Do not stop the engine with the front of the machine off of the ground, unless a system test requires it. Lower the front of the machine to the ground and stop the engine.f. Install the steering frame lock link so the machine can not turn.g. Move the hydraulic control levers to all positions in order to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Place the tilt control in the FLOAT position. Place the lift control in the HOLD position.h. Carefully loosen the fill cap on the hydraulic tank in order to release the pressure in the tank.j. Make sure that all hydraulic pressure is released before any fitting, hose or component is loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.k. Tighten the fill cap on the hydraulic tank.2. Drain the hydraulic system. Move machine to a flat level surface and block all four wheels prior to the performance of any brake work.3. Remove pressure hoses at fitting (2) from brake pump (1). Remove inlet line (3) from brake pump. Remove two cap screws and washers (4). 4. Remove brake pump (1) and coupling (5) from back of transmission pump (6). the weight of the brake pump is 7 kg (15 lb). 5. Remove O-ring (7). Check condition of O-ring before installing pump. Install brake pump in reverse order. Refer to the Operation & Maintenance Manual for all fluid capacities and the proper filling procedures.6. Start By:a. remove brake pump 1. Remove O-ring (1), inspect and replace with a new O-ring if necessary. 2. Place identification marks on all separation points of the pump prior to any disassembly. Remove four bolts (2) from pump. Remove cover assembly (3). Remove all fittings from the pump if necessary. Check the condition of O-rings before assembly. 3. Remove cartridge assembly (4) from pump body. This cartridge must be assembled in the same end of the pump as removed. 4. Remove shaft and gear assemblies (5) from pump body. 5. Remove flange end cover (6) from pump body.
