Replace the 208-7500 Pump with the new 281-3080 Pump. Check and reset relief valve settings. Reference the appropriate Disassembly And Assembly, and Test and Adjust manuals for removal, installation, and adjustment procedures.
Because the pump will be replaced in its entirety, there will be no need for anyone to disassemble the pump and remove or handle the part in question in any way. If any effort is made to do so, the general cautions about handling asbestos-containing materials, which can be found in your Operation & Maintenance Manual, should be consulted.

Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
The auxiliary hydraulic pumps incorporated into certain RM-350B Reclaimer/Stabilizers over a limited period of time have been recently found to contain a single asbestos-containing part that was inadvertently included by the pump supplier. Although the part in question is encapsulated and entirely enclosed within the pump, the pump does not comply with Caterpillar policies and specifications and must be replaced with an acceptable replacement pump.
The products that include this part are listed below. Because the pump will be replaced in its entirety, there will be no need for anyone to disassemble the pump and remove or handle the part in question in any way. If any effort is made to do so, the general cautions about handling asbestos-containing materials, which can be found in your Operation & Maintenance Manual, should be consulted.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 17Sep2007 when scheduling this service.
