Apply Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) to the gasket and to the welded joints on the oil pan.
Install gasket (7) onto engine oil pan (6) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to the engine.
Position the engine onto engine oil pan (6) . The weight of the 3516 engine is approximately 7500 kg (16500 lb). The weight of the 3520 engine is approximately 10000 kg (22000 lb).
Install bolts (5) .

Position flange (1) and the O-ring seal onto engine oil pump (2) .
Install bolts (3) .
Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations".
