This diagnostic code is recorded when the implement ECM does not receive correct information from the Advisor through the Cat Data Link.A possible cause of this diagnostic code is:
The power train ECM is operating intermittently.Troubleshooting:The data link is an input and an output of all electronic control modules. The data link is designed to carry communications between all electronic control modules and service tools. The data link is not a visible component. The data link consists of internal control circuits and connecting harness wiring.Test Step 1. VERIFY THE SOFTWARE PART NUMBERS.
Verify whether the software part numbers for the implement ECM and the Advisor are correct.
Consult the Business Unit that is producing the product for the correct configuration for the machine. Expected Result:The implement ECM and the Advisor are using the correct software. The software part numbers are correct.Results:
OK - The software part numbers in the implement ECM and the Advisor are correct. Resume normal machine operation and watch for a recurrence.STOP
NOT OK - The software part number for one or both electronic control modules is NOT correct.Repair: Install the correct software. If any modules have been replaced, ensure that the correct part number was used.STOP
