Removal Procedure

Position the machine on an incline, as shown. Block the front of the machine and apply the service brake.
Lower ripper shank (1) onto a block, as shown. Retract the shank pin.
Slowly raise the ripper frame until the first bore on ripper shank (1) will clear the carriage.
To prevent possible personal injury during removal of the ripper shank, keep away from the area around the lift truck. The ripper shank may fall off the forks of the lift truck during the removal procedure.

Install pin (2) in the bore, as shown. Position the forks on the lift truck on each side of ripper shank (1), as shown. Secure the ripper shank to the carriage of the lift truck.

Raise ripper shank (1) off the blocks with a lift truck and remove the blocks.

Lower ripper shank (1) to the ground with the lift truck.

Raise the ripper frame until ripper shank (1) will clear the carriage. Use a lift truck to remove ripper shank (1). The weight of the ripper shank is approximately 1352 kg (2,975 lb).Installation Procedure

Install a pin in the bore of the shank. Position the forks on the lift truck on each side of the ripper shank, as shown. Secure the ripper shank to the carriage of the lift truck.
Raise the ripper frame until ripper shank (1) will clear the carriage. Use a lift truck to install ripper shank (1). The weight of the ripper shank is approximately 1352 kg (2,975 lb).

Raise ripper shank (1) into position with the lift truck. Place the ripper shank onto a block.

Slowly lower the ripper frame.
Remove the pin from the bore.
Extend the shank pin into position.
