HOUSING 3K0234 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the magneto from the test bench. 2. Remove the four screws (1) from the magneto cover (2). Remove cover (2). 3. Remove all of the wires from the auxillary distribution board. Remove the auxillary distribution board. If the auxillary distribution board has the defect, install a new board, and connect the wires as shown in the wiring diagram (E) or (F). Assemble the magneto, check the timing and do the FAILURE ANALYSIS again to be sure there is no other problem.4. Remove the spacers for the auxillary distribution board. Disconnect all of the wires from the terminals on the distribution board. Cut the nylon strap which holds the wires. Remove the distribution board. 5. Install the new distribution board and connect the wires as shown in the wiring diagram (E) or (F). Assemble the magneto, check the timing and do the FAILURE ANALYSIS again to be sure there is no other problem.
