Position the machine so that the cylinder that is being removed is fully extended and the implement is resting on the ground. The cylinder that is being removed should be directly below the opening between the boom cylinder and the cab, as shown.
Remove bolt (1) and plate (2) .

Install Tooling (A) and remove plate (3) from both sides of the cylinder.

Remove pin (4) .

Install a suitable lifting device, as shown. Remove hose assemblies (5) and (6) . Remove bolts (7) and plate (8) . Remove tilt cylinder (9) . The weight of the tilt cylinder is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).Disassembly and Assembly
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

Apply Tooling (G) to the threads of piston (1) . Tighten piston (1) to a torque of 881 68 N m (650 50 lb ft). Use setscrew (2) in order to secure piston (1) in position.Lubricate seals (3) and (4) with the lubricant that is being sealed.Apply Tooling (G) to the threads of bolts (5) . Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 610 34 N m (450 25 lb ft). (6) Distance from the edge of the bearing to the edge of the rod eye ... 6.875 mm (.2707 inch)Installation
Install tilt cylinder (9) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (7) to 1600 200 N m (1180 150 lb ft). Install hose assemblies (5) and (6) .Torque bolts (1) to 425 50 N m (315 36 lb ft).
