Remove the turbochargers.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove nuts, bolts, and washers (1) in order to remove exhaust piping (2) from exhaust elbow (3).
Remove the gasket from the joint between exhaust piping (2) and exhaust elbow (3). Discard the gasket.
Install Tool (A) into the top of exhaust elbow (3).
Attach a suitable lifting device to Tool (A). The exhaust elbow weighs approximately 26 kg (57 lb).
Remove four bolts and washers (4).

Remove four bolts and washers (5). Lift exhaust elbow (3) from the engine. Installation Procedure

Install Tool (A) into the top of exhaust elbow (3).
Attach a suitable lifting device to Tool (A). The exhaust elbow weighs approximately 26 kg (57 lb).

Lift exhaust elbow (3) into position on the engine. Install four bolts and washers (5).

Install four bolts and washers (4).
Install a new gasket for the joint between exhaust piping (2) and exhaust elbow (3).
Position exhaust piping (2) onto exhaust elbow (3). Install nuts, bolts, and washers (1) in order to attach exhaust piping (2) to exhaust elbow (3). End By:
Install the turbochargers.
