L Bar (3/4 inch by 1 1/2 inch by 3 inch) 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use a suitable lifting device to install recoil spring (5). The weight of recoil spring (5) is approximately 34 kg (75 lb).

Install plate assembly (4) in roller frame (1).

Install retainer (3) in roller frame (1). Tighten retainer (3) until contact is made with plate assembly (4).

Install Tooling (E) and Tooling (C) on Tooling (D).
Install Tooling (G), Tooling (J), and Tooling (K) on Tooling (A). Tooling (H) should be parallel with roller frame (1). Use Tooling (F) to apply pressure on Tooling (E).

Apply pressure to Tooling (E) until Tooling (C) moves a dimension of 12.7 mm (0.50 inch). Tighten retainer (3) with the use of Tooling (L). Repeat this procedure until Tooling (E) is at the end of the travel.

Release the pressure on Tooling (E) and retract Tooling (E). Adjust Tooling (H) with the use of Tooling (K). Tooling (H) should be parallel with roller frame (1). Repeat this procedure until retainer (3) is at the original location. Remove all the Tooling.

Note the location and the position of retainer (2) and roller frame (1) for installation purposes. Note the distance of retainer (2) from roller frame (1). Retainer (2) should stick out 7.0 2.0 mm (0.28 0.08 inch). End By:
