Description
The SMS Bypass cabinet contains fuses in two locations of the cabinet.There is a set of fuses on the optional Static Bypass Panel that is located in the front of the cabinet. There is one fuse that is located on the left panel in 4-wire configurations.Static Bypass Fuses

Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR9988, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (SMS Bypass Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
Remove the wires to the fuse sensor. Verify the labeling of the wires.
Remove the upper nuts and the lower nuts that attach the fuse and cable to the standoff. Verify the labeling of the cable.Installation Procedure
Position the fuse in the cabinet over the standoffs that are connected to the right panel.
Attach the fuse and the cable to the standoff with a nut and a washer.

Attach the wires to the fuse sensor. Refer to Illustration 7.
