Introduction
This Special Instruction contains information for assembling an adapter harness that will be used to connect the third-party scale system to the cab harness.The adapter harness contains the plug that will connect the adapter harness to the cab harness.Depending on the type of connector that is on the third-party scale system, will depend on the type of plug that will need to be connected to the adapter harness for the third-party scale system.Required Parts

Parts removed for clarity
(A) Cab harness
(B) Connector
(1) Pin 1: 24 Volt key switch power
(2) Pin 2: ground
(3) Pin 3: CAN +
(4) Pin 4: CAN -
Assemble the parts in Table 1 in order to make an adapter harness. The adapter harness will connect the third-party scale system to cab harness (A).
Remove the floor mat.
Connect plug (1) from the adapter harness to connector (B) on the cab harness (A). Refer to Illustration 1.
Connect the adapter harness to the third-party scale system.
Reinstall the floor mat.
Enable the third-party scale system.
Press the "Service" button from the Home Screen in the Graphical Display.
Select "Configurations" from the "Service" menu and press "OK".
Select "Payload" from the "Configurations" menu and press "OK".
Select "Scale Data Source" from the "Payload" menu and press "OK" .
Select "Other" from the "Scale Data Source" menu and press "OK" in order to indicate that a third-party scale system is installed.
