- - - Use the following procedure in order to determine the actual camshaft lobe lift:
1. Measure camshaft lobe height (B).
2. Measure the base circle (C).
3. Subtract the base circle (C) from the camshaft lobe height (B). The difference is the actual camshaft lobe lift.
Maximum permissible difference between actual lobe lift and the specified lobe lift of a new camshaft is 0.10 mm (0.004 inch).
