Remove the swivel from the work tool. Refer to Service Manual, "Swivel - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before operating any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.After collecting all fluids in suitable containers, dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

(1) Stator (2) Bearing (3) Rotor (4) Ring (5) Bolt (6) Locking Plate (7) Seal Assembly
Use a hammer and a punch in order to separate the tabs of locking plate (6) from four bolts (5). Remove four bolts (5) that secure the locking plate and ring (4) to stator (1). Remove the locking plate and the ring.

Typical exampleNote: The tightness of the swivel may vary. If the seals are worn, the swivel may be disassembled without the use of a bearing puller.
Install Tooling (A) between stator (1) and rotor (3). Place the assembly in a hydraulic press, as shown. Place a stand and some shop towels below the swivel in order to catch the stator.
Inspect two bearings (2). If necessary, remove the two bearings from rotor (3) .
Remove three seal assemblies (7) from rotor (3) .
