A manufacturing error in the soot sensor module has been identified as the root cause of the diagnostic code.The affected soot sensor modules are listed in Table 1.

The affected parts were manufactured between 15 August 2017 (date code 2277) and 14 October 2017. The manufacturing process for the soot sensor modules has been improved and additional testing has been introduced to the manufacturing process. No further issues have been detected.If the troubleshooting indicates a problem with the soot sensor module, replace the module with the same part number.
