Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before installation, all components and mating surfaces should be thoroughly clean. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Inspect all gaskets and seals. If any gaskets or seals are worn or damaged, use new gaskets or seals for replacement. All installation procedures must be performed in a clean work area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.

Attach a suitable lifting sling and a hoist to the top of fuel tank (1). Position fuel tank (1) on the swing frame. Note: The empty fuel tank weighs approximately 505 kg (1113 lb).

Install bolts (17), the washers, and the spacers at the front, the back, and the right side of fuel tank (1).

Connect hose (16) at fuel tank (1).

Connect wiring (15) to the fuel level sensor at the bottom of fuel tank (1). Use tie straps to secure the wiring to the bottom of the tank.

Install access plate (14) on the bottom of the swing frame below the fuel tank.
Raise the cab back into the upright position. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Tilt".

Connect drain hose (13) to the drain valve at the bottom of fuel tank (1).

Connect the chassis wire harness (11) to the control on the back of fuel tank (1).
Install clamp (12) that secures the lead from the chassis wire harness to the back of the fuel tank. Install tie straps in order to secure the remaining leads from the wiring harness to the tank.

Install clamps (10) that hold fuel return hose (9) and hose (3) along the bottom right edge of fuel tank (1).

Connect fuel return hose (9) at the top right rear corner of fuel tank (1).
Install clamps (8) that secure fuel return hose (9) to the right side of fuel tank (1).
Install hydraulic tank (7) on the side of fuel tank (1). Connect wiring (6) to the fluid level sensor in hydraulic tank (7).

Connect hose (3) at the outlet of fuel/water separator (5). Place valve (4) in the ON position.

Install clamps (2) that secure fuel supply hose (3) near the front edge of fuel tank (1).
