( 1 ) The optional tools can be used in place of the digital pressure measurement tools which are specified in the required tool list.
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (3) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (1) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (4) to the TRAVEL position.

Move screed lift switch (7) to the FLOAT position. Move the screed lift switch on the right instrument panel to the FLOAT position.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (7) to the HOLD position.
If necessary, simultaneously move left hopper switch (5) and right hopper switch (6) to the LOWER position. Release the switches when the hoppers are completely lowered. Note: If the machine is in the dual hopper mode, either hopper switch operates both hoppers at the same time.

Move throttle control switch (8) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (9) to the OFF position.

Open access door (10) on the left side of the machine.

Install Tool (C) on the tap in port "G1" (11) of the auxiliary manifold. Connect Tool (B) to Tool (C). Connect Tool (A) to Tool (B) .
Move engine start switch (9) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Move throttle control switch (8) to the HIGH IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).
Move throttle control switch (8) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should decrease to 1100 rpm.
Monitor pressure at port "G1" (11) on Tool (C). The pressure should be 4830 350 kPa (700 50 psi).
Move engine start switch (9) to the OFF position.
If the pressure is within the specified range, go to Step 23. If the pressure is not within the specified range, go to Step 20.

Loosen locknut (12) on the pressure reducing valve. In order to increase pressure, rotate adjustment screw (13) clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate adjustment screw counterclockwise.Note: One-half revolution of adjustment screw (13) changes the pressure by approximately 517 kPa (75 psi).
