(37)Transmission, Hoist And Brake Hydraulic System
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Run engine until oil is warm, then stop engine. Change oil with machine level, parking brake set and engine stopped. 1. Remove hydraulic drain valve plug (A) and open drain valve (B). Allow oil to drain. 2. Remove transmission drain plug and allow oil to drain. 3. Remove cover, wave washer and screen.
Do not drop or rap magnets against hard objects.
4. Remove magnetic tube assembly.5. Wash screen and tube assembly in clean non-flammable solvent.6. Clean magnets with a cloth, stiff bristle brush or pressure air. 7. Clean cover and inspect seal. Use a new seal if necessary.8. Install magnetic tube assembly, screen, wave washer and cover.9. Change the filter elements. See item (28) on page 21.10. Close all drain valves and install all drain plugs. 11. Remove the oil pump suction cover assembly.12. Remove the baffle and screen from the cover. Wash the screen in nonflammable solvent.13. Inspect the cover gasket. Replace the gasket if it is damaged.14. Assemble the screen and baffle onto the cover. Install the cover assembly. 15. Remove and clean the hydraulic tank filler cap. Inspect the seal. Replace the seal if it is damaged.16. Remove filler screen retaining ring and remove screen.17. Wash filler screen in clean nonflammable solvent, allow to dry. Install filler screen. Install retaining ring.18. Fill hydraulic tank. See REFILL CAPACITIES. Install filler cap.19. Start the engine and operate the machine for a few minutes. When the oil is warm, observe oil level in the sight gauge. Maintain oil level to full mark.(38)Front Wheel Bearings
1. Position wheel with drain plug down. Remove drain plug and allow lubricant to drain.2. Clean and install drain plug. 3. Remove fill plug. Fill to bottom of fill plug opening. See REFILL CAPACITIES.4. Clean and install fill plug. Repeat procedure for opposite side of machine.(39)Differential And Final Drives
1. Remove differential drain plug and allow lubricant to drain. 2. Position wheels with drain plugs down. Remove drain plugs and allow lubricant to drain.3. Clean and install all drain plugs. 4. Remove breather and wash in clean solvent. Install breather. 5. Remove differential and final drive fill plugs. 6. Fill differential and final drives to the bottom of fill plug openings. See REFILL CAPACITIES. Clean and install all fill plugs.7. Operate machine on level ground for a few minutes. Stop machine, remove fill plugs and observe lubricant level. Add lubricant if necessary. Install all fill plugs.(40)Tachometer Drive

Use caution when draining oil or changing filters. Hot oil or components can cause burns if they contact skin.
Run engine to warm oil. Park machine on level, set parking brake and stop engine. 1. Remove tank filler cap. 2. Remove drain plug (A) and open drain valve (B). Allow oil to drain. 3. Remove retaining ring and filler screen. Wash screen in clean non-flammable solvent.4. Install screen and ring.5. Change the filter element.6. Close
