Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine or release of air pressure or oil pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To help prevent possible injury before testing and adjusting any air system or hydraulic system, perform the procedure in the Testing and Adjusting, "General Information" section.
Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system on this machine after the engine and pump have been stopped. Serious injury can result if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic systems. In order to prevent possible injury, release the hydraulic system pressure before working on any fitting, hose, or hydraulic component.Lower all attachments to the ground before service is started. If the hydraulic system must be serviced, tested, or adjusted with the attachment in the raised position, the attachments and lift cylinders must be supported properly.Always move the machine to a location away from the travel of other machines. Be sure that other personnel are not near the machine when the engine is running and tests or adjustments are being made.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

The following instructions contain the necessary information to test the lubrication pressure for the final drives.Test Preparation
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
Move the shift control lever control to the NEUTRAL position. Fully raise the dump body of the truck.
Activate the parking brakes. Stop the engine.
Permit only one operator on the machine. Either keep other personnel away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.
Place wheel chocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Install the retaining cables for the dump body.
Make sure that the shift control lever is in the NEUTRAL position.
Make sure that all air pressure and oil pressure is released before any fittings, hoses, or components are worked on.
Push the brake pedal many times until there is no brake pressure.Required Tooling

(1) Pressure tap
Connect tooling (A) to the pressure tap (1) on the oil filter.
Start the engine. Run the engine until the final drive lubrication oil temperature is above 60° C (140° F).Test Procedure
With the engine at high idle, record the pressure from tooling (A) in Table 1.
Stop the engine and remove the test equipment.
