Description of Change: New flash software is used in the Marine Power Display (MPD) on 3500B Marine Propulsion Engines and Marine Auxiliary Engines. The software allows the parameter for crankcase pressure to be displayed on the MPD with the correct units.Adaptable To: Engines that are using the 212-6170 Electronic Software Group for the MPD will not display crankcase pressure in the correct units. Using the 251-8236 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp or the 275-2174 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp will display the crankcase pressure with the correct units. This flash software will allow the user to monitor crankcase pressure on the MPD.The new software is adaptable to all of the engines that are listed above. The new software has been installed at the factory for the engine serial numbers that are listed in Table 1. Earlier engines can be flashed with the latest available software for the MPD. Refer to Operator's Guide, LEBM0189-04, "Marine Power Display Operator's Guide" for additional information for flashing the new software. This operator's guide also contains information on configuring the display for the MPD with the "Screen Builder" application.
