PROBLEM
Certain 3T-3408 Speedometer Assemblies produced with the manufacturing date codes specified need to be removed from dealer parts stock. These speedometers were manufactured with a component that is incompatible with other system components on Off-Highway Trucks.
ACTION REQUIRED
Certain 3T-3408 Speedometers need to be removed from dealer parts stock. The first two digits of the date code are the last two digits of the year of manufacture. The last two digits of the date code represent the week of manufacture during that calendar year.
The affected speedometers that should be removed from dealer parts stock can be identified by date codes 06-08 through 08-06 (2006 - week 08 through 2008 - week 06).
Refer to Image 1 for the location of the date code on the speedometer label. Image 1 date code is 2008 - week 20.
Do not use Image 1 as part number reference.

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock.
PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
