Note: Remove the generator rear cover to gain access to the space heaters.Note: If the space heaters are installed inside of bearing bracket, proceed with Illustration 3, if not remove the heaters and proceed with Illustration 8.

Illustration 6 g06307694Note: Pre-load the empty grease tube with 454-0291 Bearing Lubricant. If the tube is empty at the next grease interval it may cause problems and the grease will not reach the bearing.

If the old heaters were installed inside the bearing bracket, drill and tap 4 holes for M6 screw in the highlighted locations.

If the old heaters were installed outside of the bearing bracket, drill and tap 2 additional holes for M6 screw in the highlighted locations for the lower heater L bracket.

Cut the existing ring terminals from the harness and replace it with the one provided with the heaters. (New ring terminal specifications: Uninsulated, stud size M6 or 1/4", wire size 18AWG)
Reconnect the heater wires to the heater terminals. Confirm the individual heater voltage is 120 VAC (2 x 120 VAC heaters connected in series to a 240 VAC shore voltage in the control panel).
