Procure the 1 Meter of 18 AWG white wire locally.
RTV sealant (shop supply) is required for installation.
Wedge removal tool and crimp tool are required for creating the harness. The entire procedure should be read before beginning the rework. There are two additional sockets 9W-0844 provided for use on certain early machines.

Remove the RH quick access panel under the RH console refer to image1.1.1 and image1.1.2. Unplug the 4 pin Power DT and 2 pin DT connectors to the module and remove any tie straps on the pigtail. Remove the two M6 bolts attaching the blower speed controller bracket to the cab console support. Remove and discard the 288-8557 Controller. Cap off the 2 pin DT connector using a 374-7464 Cap. Install 431-5058 Wire Assembly onto the 4 pin power DT plug. The 431-5058 Wire provides power and ground to the HVAC unit refer to image1.1.3.

Remove the RH cab skirt and then the partial RH fender refer to image1.2.1 and image 1.2.2. Now remove the large plastic RH cab side cover refer to image1.2.3. Unplug the 12 pin DT plug from the chassis harness to the lower bulkhead connection in the RH side of the cab refer to image1.2.4. Remove the green terminal lock and remove wire C584-WH from position 8. Plug cavity 8 in R-C28 and reinstall green lock refer to image1.2.5

Unlatch the filter access lid and remove the cab filter refer to image1.3.1. Cut the tie strap and disconnect the old blower motor connectors refer to image1.3.2. Remove the Phillips screws and the blower. The old blower will not be reused. Cut a 3/4" hole in the side of the unit to allow routing of the signal wire. Install the 8P-8540 Grommet refer to image1.3.3.

Install the existing socket of the C584 wire into the new 155-2270 DT Connector position 1 and reinstall the green lock. Insert an 8T-8737 Plug into position 2. Install a 9X-3401 Pin onto the 1.0m length of 18 gage white wire to extend the C584 signal inside the unit. Connect the 18 AWG wire into position 1 of the new 1028802 2 Pin Receptacle and reinstall the green lock. Install an 8T-8737 Plug into position 2. Apply conduit or hose to the 18 AWG wire and extend inside the blower motor housing through the hole. Install a 9X-3401 Pin on to the wire and connect the wire to position 3 of the 155-2271 Four Pin Connector. Insert an 8T-8737 Plug into position four of the four pin connector. Remove the wires 515-GY 14 and 239-BK 14 from the existing two pin connector. The two pin connectors and green lock will not be reused. Install the existing 515-GY wire into position one and the 239-BK wire into position two of the new 155-2271 Four Pin Connector. Insert an 8T-8737 Plug into position 4 and reinstall the green lock. **Depending on vintage, some 515-GY and 239-BK wires may need new 9W-0844 Pins installed **refer to image1.4.1.
