Bearing Adjustment
1. Assemble end(X) then install yoke(1) and washer(2) without O-ring seal and shims.2. Tighten the bolts(3) evenly to a torque setting of 13.5N m (10 lb.ft.) while turning the assembly by hand.3. Measure the distance from the face of the washer to the end of shaft(4) through the hole in the washer-dimension B.4. Remove the washer and measure its thickness-dimension A.5. Subtract dimension A from dimension B and make up a shim pack whose thickness equals the difference PLUS 0.10mm (0.004in.). The end float must be 0.05-0.15mm (0.002-0.006in.) so the shim pack must be within 0.05mm (0.002in.) of nominal thickness.6.
