Remove Direct Injection Adapters [For 55.2 mm (1.170 in.) Adapter Bore]
START BY:a. remove fuel injection nozzles1. Drain the coolant from the cylinder heads. 2. Separate the push rods and rocker arms with tool (A). Move the rocker arms to one side.3. Put identification marks on valve bridges (1) as to their location on the head. Remove valve bridges (1).

Later Adapters4. Loosen adapters (2) with the correct tool (B) or (C). Remove the adapters from the cylinder head.Install Direct Injection Adapter [For 55.2 mm (2.170 in.) Adapter Bore]

Later Adapters1. Put liquid soap on the bore of the cylinder head and on seal (1).2. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of adapter (2). Install adapter (2) and gasket (3) in the cylinder head. Tighten the adapters to the correct torque as follows:a. Use tool (B) and tighten 2W9757 Adapters to a torque of 205 14 N m (150 10 lb.ft.), 4W5733 Adapters to a torque of 135 7 N m (100 10 lb.ft.).b. Use tool (C) and tighten 7W1902 Adapters to a torque of 205 14 N m (150 10 lb.ft.). 3. Install valve bridges (4) in their correct locations.4. Connect the push rods and rocker arms with tool (A).5. Check the level of the coolant in the engine.END BY:a. install fuel injection nozzles
