HUB-IDLER GEAR 0676897 - Caterpillar

1. Remove two nuts, lockwashers and bolts (2). Remove lever (3).2. Remove two nuts, lockwashers and bolts (4). Remove control (1) from the bracket. 3. Remove two bolts and nuts (5) and remove lever (6) from control (1).
EARLIER 988B AND 992C ONLY4. Remove two nuts from eyebolts (10) and remove springs (11) and the eyebolts on the earlier 988B and 992C.5. Remove the cotter pins, washers, pins (7) and (9) and link (8) from each solenoid on the earlier 988B and 992C.
LATER 988B AND 992C ONLY6. Remove springs (13) from levers (12) on the later 988B and 992C.
LATER 988B AND 992C ONLY7. Remove the cotter pins, washer, pins (15) and link (14) from each solenoid on the later 988B and 992C.8. Remove solenoids (16) from the console. 9. Remove clevis end (18) and nut (17) from each solenoid.
LATER 988B AND 992C SHOWN10. Remove setscrew (21), shaft (22), spring washers (19) and (20), levers (12) and spacer (23) from the bracket. 11. Remove nut (24) and roller (25) from each lever (12).12. Remove two bearings (26) from each lever (12). On the 992C and later 988B the torque converter control switch was moved from the floor to the lift control handle.
992C AND LATER 988B SHOWN13. Remove bolt (28) and clip that holds wiring harness (29) to the bracket.14. Remove the bolt, clip and nut (27) that hold wiring harness (29) to the lift lever assembly. 15. Remove nut (30), two washers and bolt from each rod end (31) on 992C and later 988B. Remove the nuts and lockwashers from the rod ends on the earlier 988B. Disconnect the rod ends from the levers.16. Loosen three setscrews (32) until shaft (31) can be removed. The earlier 988B and 992C will not have setscrews in spacers (33) and (35). 17. Remove shaft (33), spacer (37), lever (36), spacer (35) and lever (34) from the bracket. 18. Remove two bolts (40) and nuts that hold lever (36) to support (38). Remove lever (36) from support (38).19. Remove two bearings (39) from support (38). 20. Remove two bearings (41) from tilt lever (34). Do not disassemble handle (43) unless replacement parts are needed. Damage will be the result if handle is disassembled. 21. Remove two screws (42) that hold the two parts of handle (43) together. 22. Make a separation of the two parts of handle (43). Remove spring (47) and button (44). Remove switch (45) and wire harness from the handle and lever. In the earlier handle spring (47) will be a coil spring and ball.23. Loosen nut (46) and remove the handle from the lever.24. Loosen the locknuts for rod ends (51) and clevis ends (54). Remove the rod ends (51), clevis ends (54) and locknuts. 25. Remove nuts (50) and two rods (48). Remove two springs (49), two washers (52) and two washers (53) from the bracket.Assemble Hydraulic Control Console (Torque Converter, Implement Lift And Tilt)
