Check for a short to ground.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness from the control module.
Measure the continuity from contact 2 to contact 35.The results of the preceding procedure are in the following list:
There is not continuity. The solenoid harness does not have a short to ground. Connect the machine's harness. Verify that the active fault is present. If the active fault is present the transmission electronic control module is faulty. Replace the transmission electronic control module. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Replace".
There is continuity. The solenoid harness has a short to ground or the solenoid has a short to ground. Repair the harness or replace the harness or the solenoid.
