ACTION REQUIRED
Review, understand, and adhere to all safety and environmental warnings and notices associated with positioning the machine for rework and the swing bearing bolt torquing procedure.
The machine should be on a level surface with the front linkage extended and resting on the ground to achieve the best zero mechanical loading of the swing bearing bolts as possible.
Using a calibrated torque wrench, either manual or hydraulic, or a torque multiplier, tighten all the bolts in the circle that joins the swing bearing to the carbody top ring (the inner-most circle of the two, those with the long spacer). For 324D, 325D, and 330D machines, tighten the bolts to a torque of 900 +/- 100 Nm. For 345 machines, tighten the bolts to a torque of 1000 +/- 125 Nm. Mark the first bolt tightened and continue radially until all bolts have achieve the desired torque value.
