Machine Preparation
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.

Engine speed dial
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46° to 60° C (115° to 140° F).
Lower the stabilizers, the blade tip.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.

Attach tooling (B2) 3,445 kPa (500 psi) pressure sensor to pressure tap (1) at port "MH".
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.Test Procedure
Start the engine.

Select the hydraulic modulation mode as medium. Press the lower front switch on the left joystick to select the hydraulic modulation mode.
The air conditioning should be turned off for the following test.
Check the pressure at pressure tap (1). Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure.
If the pressure is not set at the proper specification, refer to the following "Adjustment Procedure" to adjust charging relief valve (2).Adjustment Procedure
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.

(2) Charge relief valve
Loosen the locknut on the adjustment screw for charge relief valve (2).
Turn the adjustment screw for charge relief valve (2) clockwise to increase the pressure. Turn the adjustment screw for charge relief valve (2) counterclockwise to decrease the pressure.Note: Make the final pressure adjustment on the pressure rise.
While the adjustment screw for charge relief valve (2) is being held, tighten the locknut to the specified torque.
Repeat the "Test Procedure" until the charge relief valve pressure has been met.
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.

While the adjustment screw for charge relief valve (2) is being held, tighten the locknut to the specified torque.
