WHEEL TRACTOR,
Information:
Personal injury or death can result from escaping fluid under pressure.Escaping fluid under pressure, even a very small pin-hole size leak, can penetrate body tissue and cause serious injury and possible death. If fluid is injected into your skin, it must be treated immediately by a doctor familiar with this type of injury.Always use a board or cardboard when checking for a leak.
Relieve pressure from the pump and the supply lines before servicing or repairing pump.
Cleaning Procedure for Hydraulic Vent Valve

(4) Valve seat
(5) Valve bodyThis procedure should be performed if any of the following conditions are occurring:
The pump is running excessively.
The pump is not developing the proper pressure.
The system pressure is not venting or relieving.Cleaning Instructions
Turn off and disconnect the hydraulic supply to the pump assembly.
Remove the delivery hose, vent hose, hydraulic supply hose and all the mounting hardware. Remove the vent valve assembly from the pump.
Hold valve body (5) in a bench vise by the flats that are machined on the base of the valve body.
Remove cylinder (1).
Remove packing gland (3).
Inspect needle (2) and valve seat (4). Check for any foreign matter that may be in this area. The foreign matter may be keeping the needle from seating properly. Clean the area thoroughly with a solvent. If the needle or the valve seat appear to be damaged by nicks, grooves or scoring, then the entire vent valve should be replaced.
Reassemble the vent valve assembly by reversing the above procedure. The needle and the inside diameter of the cylinder should be coated with grease to assist in assembling.
Tighten the valve seat to the valve body to 35 N m (26 lb ft). Tighten the cylinder to the valve body to 135 N m (100 lb ft).Pump Oil

(6) Drain plug
(7) CrankcaseCheck the oil after every 3000 machine hours of operation. Fill crankcase (7) to the center of drain plug (6) that is located on the back of the crankcase (7). Change the oil after every 15,000 machine hours of operation. Use SAE 10W30 motor oil.Purging the Pressure Sensor Line
Pressure sensor line (8) should be purged annually to prevent the grease that is inside the hose from solidifying. If the grease solidifies, pump pressure sensor (9) may not read the proper system pressure. Follow the procedure below to purge the line.Purging the Pressure Sensor Line to the Pump Pressure Sensor
The 988H BXY1900-Up, ; A7A1-Up , 990H BWX484-Up, 988K, 990K, 992K, 993K, 994K Wheel Loaders, and the 854K Wheel Dozers are equipped with a pump pressure sensor.Note: The line to the pump pressure sensor and to the downstream pressure sensor on the 990H BWX484-Up does not need purged.Note: The
