Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the heating elements from the extender screed plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Heating Element (Extender) - Remove and Install".
Remove the temperature sensor from the extender screed plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Temperature Sensor (Screed) - Remove and Install".

Remove ten nuts (2) and the ten washers from ten studs (1).
Start the machine. Slowly lift off the screed from the screed plate. Place the screed on the travel locks.
Drive the tractor forward.

Remove ten studs (1) from screed plate (3). Installation Procedure

Install screed plate (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the shorter threaded end of ten studs (1). Install ten studs (1) to screed plate (3). Torque 10 studs (1) to 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
Grind ten studs (1) flush to the bottom of screed plate (3). End By:
Install the heating elements to the extender screed plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Heating Element (Extender) - Remove and Install".
Install the temperature sensor to the extender screed plate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Temperature Sensor (Screed) - Remove and Install".
