Note: Replace O-ring seals as needed.
Remove the fan and fan motor.

Loosen bolts (18).
Position a suitable lifting device under bottom guard (19). The weight of bottom guard (19) is approximately 62 kg (137 lb).
Remove bolts (20) and lower bottom guard (19).
Remove bottom guard (19).

Remove hoses (21) by removing bolts (22), washers (23), and flanges (24). Retain bolts (22), washers (23), and flanges (24).

Remove hose (25) from hydraulic oil cooler (26).

Remove solenoid (27) from the previous fan motor.

Install solenoids (27) and (2) onto fan motor (1).

Install elbows (3) with O-ring seals (12) and (13) onto fan motor (1). Tighten elbows (3) to 70 10 N m (52 7 lb ft).

Remove nipple (28) and cap (29) from the previous fan motor and install them onto fan motor (1).
Remove adapters assembly (30) from the previous fan motor.
Install adapter assembly (30) with O-rings (11) and (14) onto fan motor (1).

Install hose (15) on the bottom of hydraulic oil cooler (26).

Install hoses (16) and (17) using O-rings (10), bolts (22), washers (23), and flanges (24).

Install bottom guard (19) using bolts (20) and (18).

Install the fan and fan motor connecting hoses (15), (16), (17), and harness (31).

Using Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) enable the reversing fan.
Calibrate the fan speed using the procedure in the Testing and Adjusting manual for your machine.
