Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.
Do not use threaded rods that have not been hardened as tooling with hydraulic cylinders. The maximum rated tonnage should be stamped on one end of the puller studs. Do not use threaded rods that have not been stamped with the rated tonnage.
Stop the machine so that the bucket is positioned flat on the ground.

Place Tooling (A) under bucket tilt link (1) . This will help to prevent the bucket tilt link from falling when the pin is removed.

Remove bolt (2) , the washer and the spacer from pin (3) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove pin (3) .

Remove bolt (4) , the washer and the spacer from pin (5) .

Use Tooling (C) in order to remove pin (5) and the washer. Pin (5) holds the bucket to the lift arms.
Repeat 6 and 7 in order to remove the pin from the opposite side of the bucket.

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting chains to bucket (6) .
Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove bucket (6) from the machine. The weight of bucket (6) is approximately 1345 kg (2965 lb).
