Loosen inner bolt (7) under the hood. Swing the mounting plate out of the way, as shown.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for the other side of the hood.

Remove bolt (8), the washer, and the spacer.

Loosen clamp (9) for the exhaust pipe. Remove the exhaust pipe.

Loosen clamp (10) for the precleaner.
Loosen clamp (11) and disconnect hose (12) .

Note: The hood and the dust ejector weigh 85 kg (185 lb).
Install tool (A). Fasten a hoist to tool (A). Remove the hood and the dust ejector.Installation Procedure

Fasten a hoist to tool (A). Install the hood with the dust ejector. Remove tool (A) .

Connect hose (12) and tighten clamp (11) .
Tighten clamp (10) for the precleaner.

Install the exhaust pipe. Tighten clamp (9) to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft).

Install bolt (8), the washer, and the spacer.

Swing the mounting plate into position and tighten bolt (7) .

Install the outer bolt and washer (6). Install plate (5). Install four bolts and washers (4) .
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 for the other side of the hood.

Note: The door weighs 32 kg (70 lb).Note: Use a hoist and a nylon lifting strap in order to support left side engine access door (2), as shown.
Place the door in position and install four bolts and washers (3). Repeat this step for the opposite side engine access door.

Install guard (1) for the filter.
