Open the access door on the right side of the machine.

Loosen retaining bolt (1).
Remove filter housing (2) and the filter element.
Wash the filter element, the filter housing, and the filter housing base with a clean, nonflammable solvent.
Dry the filter element with pressure air.
Inspect the filter housing seal. Replace the seal if the seal is damaged.
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Insert the clean element into the filter housing. Install the element and the housing onto the filter housing base.
Tighten retaining bolt (1) to a torque of 24 4 N m (18 3 lb ft).
Start the engine. Check the fuel filter for leaks.
Close the access door.
