Selector Switch (S1)
Illustration 1 g00826584
The selector switch provides the start and stop control of the engine from the transfer switch. See illustration 1.AUTO
The AUTO position provides the normal operation of the transfer switch and normal operation of the engine.OFF
The OFF position disconnects the start contact of the transfer switch from the engine. When the switch is in the OFF position, the engine must be started manually.START
The START position closes the circuit to the engine. Closing the circuit causes the engine to start. The engine will run until the switch is moved from the START position.Engine Disconnect Switch (S2)
Illustration 2 g00826597
The engine disconnect switch interrupts the circuit for the engine start when the switch is in the OFF position. The transfer switch will not send an engine start signal or an engine stop signal to the generator. See illustration 2.Auto/Manual Retransfer Selector Switch (S5)
Illustration 3 g00826610
In the AUTO position, the transfer to the normal power source is automatic after the delay to normal timer has elapsed. The delay to normal timer is bypassed if the emergency power source fails. In the MANUAL position, the transfer to the normal power source occurs upon the depression of the "YN" push button. The switch will transfer the load to the normal power source if the emergency power source fails.Auto/Manual Selector Switch (S12)
Illustration 4 g00826657
In the AUTO position, the ATS will function automatically. In MANUAL, the ATS will transfer either direction only by the depression of the normal push button "YN", or the emergency push button "YE".Note: When the device is in the MANUAL position, the switch maintains the position. The switch will maintain the position even if the power fails.Transfer Commit (S13)
The transfer commit feature is a standard feature. This feature can be turned ON or OFF via the "CNFG" menu. When the transfer commit feature is set to the Y position, the ATS is committed to transferring the load to the emergency power source once the delay to transfer to emergency timer has begun timing. If the normal power source is restored before the transfer to the emergency power source, the switch will still transfer the load to the emergency power source. The switch transfers the load in order to ensure that the transfer takes place. The transfer takes place because one outage is often followed by another outage. When the transfer commit feature is set to the N position, the ATS is not committed to transferring the load unless the duration of the outage is longer than the timers that precede the transfer to the emergency power source. This setting assumes that the outage will be an isolated event.Test Switch (S14)
The test switch is a three-position switch that is operated by a key. The switch is spring loaded so that the switch will return to the center position.Holding the selector switch in the TEST position will transfer the ATS to the emergency power source. Releasing the switch will return the ATS to the normal power source.Holding the selector switch in the "YN" position will immediately transfer the ATS
