Relief Valve (Main)
Make reference to on first page of "Scraper Hydraulic System Testing and Adjusting" section.
Hydraulic Pump
(1) Drive for the hydraulic pumps. (2) Plug in the elbow. (3) Right side fender.
Scraper Control Valve
(4) Cover on the relief valve. The relief valve is a part on the control valve for the scraper and is near the oil line connection from the pump. The 8T0859 Pressure Gauge (0-4000 psi) with the 5S4648 Hose Assembly, the 5P3501 Adapter Assembly and the 4M5317 Reducing Bushing are installed in the elbow on the pump where plug (2) was removed.Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle rpm. Look at the pressure gauge, move the bowl control lever to the RAISE position and hold it there until the needle in the gauge stops (not for more than 30 seconds). The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting of the relief valve. The correct pressure setting is 13 800 175 kPa (2000 25 psi).
Relief Valve
(4) Cover. (5) Spring. (6) Stem. (7) Shims. If it is necessary to change the setting of the relief valve, stop the engine and, after approximately 5 minutes, remove cover (4) from the relief valve.Remove shims (7) to decrease or add shims to increase the pressure setting of the relief valve. The shims are in stem (6). Ejector Kickout
Make reference to on first page of "Scraper Hydraulic System Testing and Adjusting" section.
The ejector kickout is in the end of the ejector valve stem in the scraper control valve. The oil pressure gauge to check the setting of the ejector kickout is installed where the plug was removed form the elbow on the oil pump. See "Relief Valve" pressure gauge installation.Start the engine and move the ejector control lever to the EJECT position for 2 or 3 seconds. Increase the rpm of the engine and look at the oil pressure gauge when the ejector control lever is moved to the RETURN (detent) position. The high pressure reading on the oil pressure gauge is when the control moves to the HOLD position. The correct setting for the ejector kickout is 10 300 690 kPa (1500 100 psi).
Scraper Control Valve
(1) Spring housing. (2) Plug. (3) Fender for left side wheel. If it is necessary to change the pressure setting of the ejector kickout, remove plug (2) from the spring housing (1) on the end of the ejector valve stem. Use a .12 inch hex wrench through the hole where plug (2) was removed and turn screw (4). Screw (4) is in detent (5) on the end of the ejector valve stem. Turn screw (4) counterclockwise to decrease or clockwise to increase the pressure setting for the ejector kickout. One half turn of screw (4) changes the pressure setting approximately 930 kPa (135 psi).
Ejector Kickout
(1) Housing. (4) Screw. (5) Detent on end of ejector valve stem.Ejector Speed Change Valve
Make reference to on first page of "Scraper Hydraulic System Testing and Adjusting" section.
The ejector speed change valve is near the rear of the scraper
