Illustration 16 g03382743Note: Before installation, lubricate the bores, the pins, and the lip seals with Tooling (J).
Lower the temperature of the bearings of the tilt lever. Use Tooling (G) to install the bearings in tilt lever (10). Install the bearings to a depth of 10.0 1.0 mm (0.39 0.04 inch).

Use Tooling (H) in order to install lip seal (17). Make sure that the lip of the seal is facing outward.
Repeat Step 2 for the lip seal on the opposite side of the tilt lever.

Use a suitable lifting device to position tilt lever (10). The weight of tilt lever (10) is approximately 380 kg (840 lb). Note: Aligning the bores of the tilt lever and of the lift arm is important. Improper alignment can damage the lip seals during the installation of the pin assembly.

Carefully install pin assembly (16).

Connect hose assemblies (13). Connect clips (14).
Install the washer, the spacer, and bolt (15) that holds pin assembly (16).
Illustration 22 g03382698Note: Aligning the bores of the tilt lever and of the bucket tilt link is important. Improper alignment can damage the lip seals during the installation of the pin assembly.
Install pin assembly (12).
Install the washer, the spacer, and bolt (11) that holds pin assembly (12).

Connect clips (9). Remove the suitable lifting device and pin assembly (7) from tilt lever (10).

Attach a suitable lifting device to tilt cylinder (8). The weight of tilt cylinder (8) is approximately 220 kg (485 lb). Raise tilt cylinder (8) off the lift arm assembly. Start the engine and extend tilt cylinder (8) until the bore in the rod eye aligns with the bore in tilt lever (10).

Install pin assembly (7) and fitting (6).

Remove Tooling (A).
