October 2002 CATERPILLAR? GASKET AND SEAL KITS AVAILABLE FOR DRIVETRAIN COMPONENTS
This IRM announces the availability of gasket and seal kits fordrive train components. Caterpillar gasket and seal kits feature quality,genuine Cat? parts in a convenient package. Kits are designed for specificapplications and updated with the latest engineering changes, so the customerreceives the correct parts.
Cat gasket and seal kits can improve repair efficiency in bothdealer and customer repair shops. Many other companies may offer gasket and sealkits for a generic transmission or torque converter overhaul, which has extraparts that the customer will discard. Caterpillar gasket and seal kits aregeared toward specific component overhauls, minimizing the chance that thecustomer will pay for and throw away unneeded parts. Kits are ordered as asingle part number, eliminating the need to search through a parts book toidentify the individual gaskets and seals needed for the repair, which savestime.
