Align the quick coupler with the work tool. Position the quick coupler between the hinge plates (2) of the work tool.

Extend the bucket cylinder in order to position the work tool completely under the stick.

Tighten the two bolts (5) in order to engage the wedge (4) with the work tool. Torque each bolt (5) until the spring washers (6) become snug. Additionally tighten the bolt by 1 3/4 of a turn, after the spring washers are snug.
Retract the bucket cylinder. Make sure that the wedge is engaged. Shake the work tool.
Visually check in order to ensure that the work tool is properly locked.
Crush injury. Could cause serious injury or death. Always confirm that the quick coupler is engaged onto the pins. Read the Operator's Manual.

Verify that the quick coupler and the work tool are locked together.
Place the work tool on the ground.
Apply pressure to the work tool against the ground.
Drag the work tool backward.Uncoupling the Work Tool
Place the work tool or bucket in a safe position before disengaging the coupler. Disengaging the coupler will release the work tool or bucket from control of the operator.Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the work tool or bucket when it is in an unstable position or carrying a load.
Auxiliary hoses for work tools must be disconnected before the quick coupler is disengaged.Pulling the work tool with the auxiliary hoses could result in damage to the host machine or the work tool.

Position the work tool on a level surface.

Move the electric switch (1) to the UNLOCK position in order to disengage the wedge with the work tool.

Retract the bucket cylinder in order to rotate the wedge assembly away from the work tool.

Move the quick coupler away from the hinge plates on the work tool.
Move the electric switch to the LOCK position once the quick coupler is free from the work tool.Manual Quick Coupler
Position the work tool on a level surface.

Loosen the two bolts (5) that secure the wedge (4) to the quick coupler.Note: There is a gap in the threads of the bolts that allow the wedge to extend. Loosen the bolts until the bolts reach the second set of threads (3). This holds the wedge in an extended position in order to allow a bucket or a work tool to be installed or removed.
