Pressing the "Clear" button fails to clear on an autonomous or remote control machine.Test Step 1. RETRY CLOSER TO THE AFFECTED MACHINE.Move the handheld A-Stop closer to the affected machine and attempt to clear again.Results:
OK - The machine clears the A-Stop.STOP
NOT OK - The machine does not clear the A-Stop.
Proceed to Test Step 2.Test Step 2. CHECK THE POWER LEVEL OF THE A-STOP DEVICE.Verify that the handheld A-Stop is charged.Results:
OK - The Test/Power Indicator blinks periodically and the Red Battery charge indicator is not illuminated.
Proceed to Test Step 3.
NOT OK - The Test/Power Indicator does not blink or the Red Battery charge indicator is illuminated. Charge the handheld A-Stop device.STOPTest Step 3. VERIFY THERE ARE NO OTHER A-STOPS ACTIVE.Use Cat® MineStar Office to determine if any other A-Stop activations are currently affecting the machine. Also check the machine for any on-board stops.Results:
OK - No other A-Stop devices have been activated.
Proceed to Test Step 4.
NOT OK - Another A-Stop has been activated. When safe to do so, clear the A-Stop on any other A-Stops.STOPTest Step 4. INSPECT THE MACHINE A-STOP ANTENNA AND WIRING.Refer to the machine support documentation and inspect the A-Stop antenna and wiring.Results:
OK - The machine does not have faulty A-Stop wiring. Refer to the machine-specific troubleshooting information. Contact Caterpillar Technical Support if the issue is not resolved.STOP
NOT OK - The machine has faulty A-Stop wiring or Antenna. Resolve the wiring or antenna issues.STOP
