Lubrication pump
Lubrication distribution valvesLubrication Pump
Lubrication pump (1) is a 24 VDC electric pump with an integrated timer. The lubrication pump dispenses the grease to progressive distribution valves at timed intervals. Note: DO NOT USE THE PUMP WITHOUT A PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE.Reference: For more information about the lubrication pump, refer to Systems Operation, "Lubrication Pump".Lubrication Distribution Valve
The metering valves are a progressive piston type that is used to accurately distribute the lubricant to the lubrication points. The metering valves differ in the number of outlets. However, the operation of the metering valves are identical.After the lubricant is discharged from pump (1), the lubricant enters primary metering valve (2). The lubricant then goes to secondary metering valves (3), (4), (5) and (6). The secondary metering valves dispense the grease to various bearings on the machine.Illustration 1 shows the distribution valves. The distribution valves are marked in order to show the bearings that are lubricated.Inside the metering valves, internal pistons move in a given progressive sequence and in repeating cycles. Each piston must complete an entire movement before the next piston is able to move.All of the pistons are independent. The pistons cannot be interchanged with another piston.
