The Electrical System Schematic, Electrical System Schematic Supplement, Parts Manual, and Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced should be used to locate electrical components and connectors.The following information is a guide to reading the tables on the Electrical System Schematic Supplement for the machine that is being serviced.
The "Component Location" table uses two columns to identify the locations of the components. In the column titled "Schematic Location" the alphabetical and numerical characters are a grid reference on the Electrical System Schematic. In the column titled "Machine Location" the numerical characters are a reference to the illustration titled "Machine Harness Connector And Component Location" on the Electrical System Schematic Supplement.

In the column titled "Schematic Location" the alphabetical and numerical characters are a grid reference on the Electrical System Schematic. The wire side of the ECM connectorTo remove the machine harness from the Machine ECM, use screw (6) in the center of the harness connector.Service Connector
The service connector provides access to the service and clear inputs of the main display module. Connector contact "J" is the service input and contact "H" is the clear input. Contacts "F" and "G" could be any wire from the 200 family. The service connector is located on the dash in the operator station. The service connector is a DT type of connector. For a more accurate location of the service connector, see the Electrical System Schematic Supplement in the Service Manual.

End view of service connectorVarious diagnostic functions require the grounding and/or the opening of the service and clear contacts at the service connector. During troubleshooting, the service person needs to make the proper electrical connections between the contacts of the service connector. These electrical connections are made with two jumpers. See Troubleshooting, "Service Tools".
