Pull the load drum clutch lever to the ENGAGE position. It may be necessary to engage the power take-off clutch momentarily to engage the load drum clutch. 4. Engage the power take-off clutch and at the same time slightly release the load drum brake. DO NOT fully release the brake. 5. When the load reaches the desired height, simultaneously disengage the power take-off clutch and engage the load drum brake.6. Push the load drum clutch lever to the DISENGAGE position.7. Move the cable drum transmission control to NEUTRAL.Lowering the Load Without Power
1. Always push load drum clutch lever to DISENGAGE position when lowering load without power. 2. Squeeze handle and push load drum brake lever forward to lower load. Pull lever back to stop load from lowering.Lowering the Load Under Power

Make certain personnel are clear of cable when there is a load on the cable. Cable can break and cause personal injury.
Always winch with cable in as straight a line as possible behind tractor. For maximum service life of winch, engage winch at lowest practical engine speed. Heavy line loads will require winch engagements at higher engine speeds than with lighter loads.Line speed is controlled by the engine speed.
WINCH CONTROL CONSOLE(N) BRAKE ON (NEUTRAL) BRAKE ON (NEUTRAL) - Towing, holding load or when winch is not in use. Cable will not move.
Exercise care with suspended loads. If engine speed is too low the weight of the load may cause it to drop, even though the winch is in REEL IN position.
(R)(1) BRAKE OFF (RELEASE) BRAKE OFF (RELEASE) - Moving tractor away from heavy load, or lowering a load by its own weight. When released, the lever will return to neutral position. Cable will move out with load on cable.
Do not leave in BRAKE OFF for extended periods. When moving away from a load, operate tractor in low gear to prevent overspeeding of winch components.
(I) REEL IN REEL IN - Pull load toward machine. When released, the lever will return to neutral position. Cable will move toward the winch under power.(O) REEL OUT REEL OUT - Lower light load with power, or moving away from load in first gear. When released, the lever will return to neutral
